Risk
Management Inspection & Review
Pointe
Counseling Services (PCS) spends a great deal of time and
effort to stay on the leading edge of the Risk Management
Process. The most important step in this process and the most
difficult is risk identification. The initial approach to this
identification process relates to the information provided by
the client in the Pre I Kit and the physical inspection of the
facilities. Combining these two steps with an audit of the
client's current coverage goes a long way in the
identification process. PCS doesn't stop here however. We
continue by reviewing various other sources of information
such as:
¨
Previous Claims |
¨
Purchase Orders |
¨
Unpaid Claims |
¨
Questionnaires |
¨
Incident Reports |
¨
Schedules |
¨
Client Contracts |
¨
Exposures Surveys |
In
addition, PCS uses various sources of information available
through local, national and international associations of risk
management experts who publish works which are constantly
being reviewed by our representatives.
Upon
completion of the identification process, PCS sets up a model
of risk management techniques that would be feasible for the
client. This model would be a picture of what we perceive as
the optimum risk and insurance management program. This model
would be compared with the current program and differences
would be noted for review with the client. Justifications for
differences would be scrutinized. Out of this review, PCS
would develop the review synopsis and recommendations for
presentation to the client. These recommendations would be
incorporated into the bid specifications and non insurance
techniques would be enumerated for inclusion in the client's
risk management program.
While
this entire process is lengthy, PCS feels it is necessary to
properly advise clients and round out their Insurance and Risk
Management Program and make it cost efficient.
