Award Recommendations

Recommendations are not based solely on program costs. Pointe Counseling Services (PCS), prior to the recommendation, has reviewed a large volume of information. We have advised the client on the interplay of the risk management program and the insurance after carefully developing a plan to deal with the risks identified by the client and PCS. We promulgated Bid Specification to require exactly the program the client demands. The bidders have been evaluated and specific insurance companies have been assigned the bidders to try to get the best program out of the insurance companies. Finally PCS has painstakingly evaluated the proposals of each bidder primarily to verify that coverage proposed is as specified. We have noted variances both good and bad. Lastly we related the percentage of compliance with the cost of the program and noted the weight of any deficiencies.

Based on this information, PCS will formulate a recommendation for award. We will consider the merits of splitting coverage between bidders if we feel it is warranted. We will also weight our recommendation with the input of the client regarding any other issue which they feel is of value. Typically these would be empirical issues such as service.

When PCS makes a recommendation we will stand by it as we believe we have "left no stone unturned" to accomplish our original goal, to find the best Insurance and Risk Management Program available at the most efficient cost.
